  • Come with a clean face, without heavy makeup or skincare.
  • Tell your esthetician about retinol, prescription skincare, recent treatments, and any irritation so they can confirm your preparation plan.
  • For a special event, ask about timing before you book; Balm’s facial guidance suggests allowing about a week.

Follow the preparation instructions for your exact appointment. Contact the studio if anything is unclear. Do not stop or change prescribed medication without guidance from your prescriber.

How do I choose between a facial and a targeted treatment?

Choose a facial when you want several steps of care in one visit. A focused treatment such as express dermaplaning or microdermabrasion concentrates on a particular technique. If you are unsure, the Introductory Facial leaves extra time to discuss your skin and choose a signature treatment together.

Will I leave knowing what to use at home?

Tell your esthetician what you currently use and what you would like to improve. Balm offers professional product guidance, with Eminence Organics available at both studios. The goal is a routine that supports your treatment and is understandable to you.
