What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a laser to target the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and improving the overall texture and appearance of the skin.

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses high-intensity light to improve skin tone, reduce wrinkles, and eliminate blemishes and other imperfections.
What are the differences between Laser Genesis and IPL?
Laser Genesis is a specific type of laser treatment that targets the deeper layers of the skin, while IPL uses broad-spectrum light to target a wider range of skin concerns. Laser Genesis is typically used to treat acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles, while IPL is used to treat sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and other types of skin discoloration.
What should I do to prepare for Laser Genesis or IPL treatments?
To prepare for Laser Genesis or IPL treatments, it is important to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks prior to your appointment. You should also avoid using any skincare products that contain retinoids or other exfoliating agents for at least one week before your treatment. It is also important to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day of your treatment.
What should I expect during Laser Genesis or IPL treatments?
During Laser Genesis treatments, you may feel a mild warming sensation as the laser is applied to your skin. IPL treatments may cause some discomfort or mild pain, which can be managed with topical anesthesia or pain medication.
What should I do after Laser Genesis or IPL treatments?
After Laser Genesis or IPL treatments, it is important to avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks and to wear sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin from further damage. You should also avoid using any skincare products that contain retinoids or other exfoliating agents for at least one week after your treatment. It is also important to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
How many Laser Genesis or IPL treatments will I need?
The number of Laser Genesis or IPL treatments you will need depends on your individual skin concerns and the severity of the issues you are trying to address. Most people require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results, with treatments spaced several weeks apart to allow the skin to heal between sessions.
What are the potential side effects of Laser Genesis or IPL treatments?
Side effects of Laser Genesis or IPL treatments may include redness, swelling, and mild discomfort or pain. These side effects typically resolve within a few hours or days after your treatment. In rare cases, more severe side effects such as burns or scarring may occur, but these are very rare and can be avoided with proper preparation and aftercare.
